New Milestones
Well, a lot has happened since the last time I posted. Let's see if I can get through it all...
1. Courtney had her 4 month doctor's appointment today. She now officially weighs 11 pounds 9 ounces, and is 23 inches long. She falls into the 10th percentile for both. She's getting big! The doctor also said that we can start giving her a little bit ( a tablespoon or so) of rice cereal a couple of times a day.
2. Her developmental people have still been visiting once a week to help with exercises and stretches. This helps with things like making sure she doesn't sleep with her head to the same side all of the time. She did tend to sleep to one side a lot, so she has a little flat spot on one side of her head, but the doctor said today that it was mild and no big deal. With the exercises, it'll help round out her head. Also, they help with muscle development so she can start doing things babies her age do like roll over. Speaking of which...
3. She rolled over for the first time a couple of days ago! I wasn't home to see it, but she did it again the next day, so I caught that one. She rolled over from her tummy to her back (which I guess is easier), but she's starting to get the movements to roll back the other way too.
4. And since it's been so hot lately, we brought her swimming for the first time. First we dunked her feet into the neighbor's pool for a little while, then we went for a full swim up at the lake. Turns out , she's a water baby! We even brought her over for another dip at the neighbor's the next day.
So, we've been quite busy trying to keep up with all of Cat's milestones. It seems like there's something new every day. With every gigantic smile and every new little baby sound, it seems that every day, there's something new to look forward to. Here's some new pics to show you how she's changed lately...
